A New Chapter Begins for Dîner en Blanc Calgary

When the opportunity to take over Diner en Blanc Calgary presented itself, 11-time attendee Laird Hill jumped at the chance.  As a highly successful business owner with a background in logistics and a passion for the event's collaborative spirit, he knew that with the right team leading the way, Diner en Blanc Calgary could build and grow into a must-attend event in the city. 

His network led him to Kimberly Beaune, Owner and Event Storyteller at Creative Twist Inc., a multi-award-winning experiential event design firm now based in Calgary.  This highly regarded events industry leader was thrilled at the opportunity to bring her over 30 years of experience in largescale event design and entertainment to the DEB Calgary team.

Knowing the scale and scope of the event they were undertaking, Kimberly reached out to industry colleague Jennifer Thacker, Owner of R3 Events to round out the team.  Jennifer, an equally accomplished event producer with high profile events like the BMO Centre Opening and Stars and Spurs Gala under her belt, was excited to lend her expertise to this iconic annual event. 

As the new hosts of Diner en Blanc Calgary, this dynamic trio is honoured to carry forward a beloved tradition that has become part of the city’s cultural fabric over the past 12 years. Their vision is to build on this incredible legacy by reconnecting the event to its core spirit of elegance, community, surprise, and joy, while infusing the experience with renewed energy, vibrancy, and memorable new moments. 

They are also applying their considerable expertise in event design and logistics to thoughtfully curate the event flow and enhance the overall attendee experience from start to finish. Without a doubt, this summer Diner en Blanc Calgary will be Back in White, Bigger and Brighter!
